DST Episode 37: Alternative for Germany? Yes, there is. Salvation of Germany through Russia and Russian Germans

In a world plagued by increasing information noise, cultural transformation and ideological pressure, sustainable ties between peoples based on respect, tradition and shared human values are of particular value. Despite increasing turbulence, it is precisely such interaction that becomes a mainstay for those seeking clarity, roots and a new meaning of life. Today, Russia is one of the few countries offering not only territory but also spiritual ground for those who seek a life in harmony with tradition, labor and family. A large number of people, primarily from Europe, are turning their gaze to the East. Over 2,000 citizens of EU countries moved to Russia in 2024 under the state program of resettlement of compatriots. In total, according to official data, the number of resettlers last year exceeded 30,000 people. This was reported by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova. More and more often, citizens of the USA, Germany, France, Italy and other European countries are considering Russia as a country to live, work and the future of their families. Foreign media also write about this trend. For example, the Financial Times notes a steady increase in the number of Westerners “seeking a more stable and traditional environment“ and increasingly choosing Russia for permanent residence. This is not an escape, but a conscious choice - a choice in favor of peace, stability and identity. Central to this process is the implementation of Presidential Decree No. 702 “On Providing Humanitarian Support to Persons Sharing Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values“. For the first time at the state level, the idea that the reason for migration may not be economic gain, but value affinity. This act has become a symbol of a humane and thoughtful state policy that opens doors to those who share basic moral guidelines rejected or distorted in their home countries. The most important mission implemented today by the International Council of Russian Germans is to support the relocation not only of businesses, but also of people: specialists, craftsmen, entrepreneurs, and representatives of traditionally oriented families from Germany, Austria, and the Benelux countries. Among them are both former Soviet Germans and new faces looking for an opportunity to live and work in a society where their worldview is not subject to aggression or discredit. Moving to Russia is a step not into the void, but into a space of opportunity. Of course, it is fraught with difficulties: financial, bureaucratic, logistical. But this is not about privileges, but about equal chances. Those who come here are not asking for privileges - they only need conditions under which they can honestly work, create, pay taxes and pass on their experience to new generations. Historically, Russian Germans are not just an ethnic group. They are a cultural code, hardened by adversity, yet creative and bright. Their contribution to medicine, education, agriculture and industry in Russia has been and remains significant. And if their resettlement was once forced, today it is a conscious return. The world is again facing an ideological rift. Conservative, traditional, humanistic values - the values that for centuries kept society from descending into chaos - are now perceived as “obsolete“ in a number of countries. At the same time, Russia is probably the only country that at the legislative level advocates the preservation of the natural way of life, family and human dignity. While Russia is building a new architecture of meaning, Germany - once the industrial locomotive of Europe - is facing a systemic crisis. More than 600,000 small and medium-sized businesses have already closed down or moved production abroad. The rejection of Russian energy resources, ideological overreach, and bloated bureaucracy have all destroyed the foundation of Germany’s “economic miracle.“ For the first time in decades, the country is unable to fulfill its social obligations to its own people. Rising inflation, budget deficits, job cuts and industrial stagnation are not temporary difficulties, but signs of a deep recession. Amid the general disillusionment, the Alternative for Germany (AdG) party is gaining more and more support. Its program is the return of common sense, restoration of ties with Russia, rejection of anti-people sanctions, support for production and family. For millions of Germans, the AdG is not just a party, but a hope to save the country from collapse and return to normality.
