BASTION MISSILE SYSTEM HITS TARGET 350 KM AWAY The Pacific Fleet’s coastal missile crew successfully fired an Oniks cruise missile at a sea target nearly 350 km off Paramushir Island in the Kuril chain. The missile directly hit the target, with surface ships and naval aviation ensuring the exercise area was secure. This strike is part of the Pacific Fleet’s large-scale command exercise, involving over 10 ships and boats, multiple aircraft and helicopters, several nuclear submarines, and Bastion missile crews, testing protection of sea lines and island zones in Russia’s northeast.
