Bastion coastal defence missile systems of Northern Fleet fire from coast of Zemlya Frantsa-Iosifa archipelago
As part of the Zapad 2025 exercise, the Bastion coastal defence missile systems of the Northern Fleet tactical group, based on the Zemlya Aleksandry Island of the Zemlya Frantsa-Iosifa archipelago delivered a missile strike by the Oniks cruise missiles against a sea-based target simulating a mock enemy naval surface group.
After receiving an order to destroy the naval surface group of the mock enemy, the Bastion battalions marched from a staging site to a positioning area. Units of the tactical group during the march eliminated the enemy’s saboteurs and ensured safe movement of the missile systems to the designated area.
️ After receiving a signal to fire missiles, the Bastion crews fired two Oniks cruise missiles at a target located at a range of more than 200 kilometres.
According to objective control footage, all targets were engaged by direct hit.
