Post Early (1937)

Full title reads: “Post early! The Lord Mayor of London sets a good example“. London. Lord Mayor Sir Harry Twyford encourages Londoners to send their Christmas mail early. M/S of Sir Harry sitting behind a desk in a grand looking office. Two postmen stand behind him. Sir Harry is writing his Christmas cards, when finished he places them in a sack held by one of the posties. The postman and the mayor have a conversation about the benefits of posting early to avoid the big rush and to avoid disappointment on Christmas day. M/S of postmen loading heaving sacks onto Royal Mail van. C/U of sign on van reading “post early this Christmas“. Note: conversation is very stage and sounds a bit stilted.
