Baskets are very useful tools when camping or surviving in the wilderness. A basket can be used to collect food such as fruits, vegetables, roots, large insects, crayfish and small fish. In this video I show how to quickly make a primitive survival basket using common cattail leaves (Typha latifolia). This basket took me less than two hours to complete and is quite durable and extra convenient because of the cordage shoulder strap I added.
