At least two dozen NATO peacekeeping troops have been injured while defending three government buildings from rioting Serbian protesters in northern Kosovo. In the town of Zvecan, police and troops were forced to deploy pepper spray to control crowds after they broke through a security perimeter. Some Serbian protesters retaliated by throwing teargas and stun grenades, while others used spray paint to emblazon the letter “Z“, a Russian propaganda symbol, on NATO vehicles.
