Nastia Liukin of The United States competed on Balance Beam at the 2006 Visa Championships (AKA USA National Championships). During her balance beam routine, she was going for her acro series and began to fall. She quickly saved herself from falling off the beam by grabbing the beam and quickly adjusting without actually falling off. To me, this is the most iconic beam save ever recorded.
