Restoration Caucasian SHASHKA - Austro-Hungarian BLADE!

Hi! Today is the restoration of the Caucasian shashka. The saber blade is Austro-Hungarian, mid, late 18th, early 19th century. There is a stamp on the blade, which was common in the period from the 17th to the 19th centuries. The brand is not clearly visible, but I found the original in the book. The blade was brought to me by a customer for restoration. He wants to restore it. He found it in his village by chance, it belonged to his ancestor. The condition of the blade is average. There are no handle parts, no scabbard and no accessories. We begin to restore the blade. My first duty was to place the blade in a rust remover. The next step was to neutralize the effect of the acid. I put the blade in warm water with soda. Next, using an iron soft brush, I cleaned the dark spots and remaining dirt and began to remove the petrified rust with an engraver. Next, I started cleaning the blade with a solvent and a toothbrush. After cleaning as carefully as possible, I moved on to mounting the fastener, the handle parts. And after gluing the parts, I let the installation dry for more than 1 day. I did not sharpen the blade at the request of the customer. The next step is that I started making new wooden saber scabbards. Executed in a classic style. He glued it with natural thin leather and made fittings from nickel silver in the Caucasian style.
