Incredible Timbers in the Franklin Mine!

The Franklin Mine was an iron mine that operated prior to 1911, and again in 1919-1920. The upper workings are said to be the older workings, and the lower adit the 1919-1920 workings. The surface provides numerous cabins and orebins that have survived over 100 years, and the underground workings that are still accessible provide a glimpse back into the past.
