In 1931 he organized the “Special Children’s Group” at the Moscow Conservatory. From 1936 to 1941 - artistic director of the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory. From 1932 to 1934 - Deputy Chairman of the Moscow branch of the Union of Soviet Composers of the USSR . He died on November 26, 1961 (according to other sources - November 27) in the village of Nikolina Gora (now Odintsovo district, Moscow region ).
