Bodycam Captures Suspect Shooting At LVMPD Officers Before They Return Fire

* (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Las Vegas, Nevada — On November 16, 2021, at approximately 4:08 p.m., LVMPD officers responded to a mobile home park in the 2100 block of North Pecos Road for a report of two suspicious males walking through the complex, one of them armed with a handgun. Responding officers arrived and observed one of the males, later identified as Taveon Davidson, 25, and conducted a person stop. During the stop, officers attempted to do a pat-down for weapons at which time Davidson fled on foot. Both Officers identified as Officer Jeffrey Burr, 34, and Officer Damario Simmons, 29, engaged in a foot pursuit and observed Davidson pull out a handgun. While fleeing from officers, Davidson turned and fired one round at Officer Burr. Both Officers Burr and Simmons returned fire striking Davidson several times.
