NYPD cops beaten after asking thugs to stop smoking

Two men have been arrested after violently beating a New York City cop after he asked them to stop smoking in a Bronx subway station. Kaream McClary, 23, and Izayiah Jessamy, 20, have been charged with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and trespassing after the assault, which occurred during broad daylight and was filmed by a bystander, because of course it was. The altercation unfolded when two officers requested the suspects, accompanied by a third individual still being sought by the police, to extinguish their cigarettes inside the Freeman Street subway station. The situation escalated into a physical confrontation as the suspects resisted the officers’ efforts to remove them from the station. The shocking video footage captures the assailants repeatedly striking the officer’s head, neck, and face. Both officers sustained minor injuries and received on-site treatment. The NYPD is urging the public to help identify the third suspect involved in the assault.
