Sudans civil, military leaders sign agreement on two-year transition

Following a long period of civil turmoil, Sudan’s Military and Civilian factions have reached a preliminary deal, brokered with the help of UN officials and diplomats from Saudi Arabia, the US, and the UAE, that would see the army step back from political dealings. The agreement aims to create a two-year transitional civilian rule, led by a prime minister elected by the ’revolutionary forces’.
