Sudan Civil War: [2/7/2024]: The RSF continued its advance after the SAF withdrew from much of Sennar Governorate. The rebels reached the town of Mazmūm, very close to the border with South Sudan. The situation for government forces is becoming increasingly difficult as the capture of supply lines from White Nile would lead to the loss of positions in the south as far as Blue Nile province.
