Cobb (1933)

No title. Animation. A little dog walks across a field as jaunty piano music plays. He stops and laughs. Then he arrives at a chicken coup and sniffs at the door. Then he whistles. A chicken emerges and clucks. The dog lassos the chicken and laughs then so does the chicken. The dog begins singing a rather sinister song: “Come with me for a ramble down the shady lane If you do then I’m willing to gamble You’ll never come back again...“ The chicken agrees and they skip along, the dog singing and the chicken clucking. A dog sits outside his kennel - he is asleep and snoring. He hears the dog and chicken and his ears grow out of proportion to his body. He begins to bark. The dog and chicken get scared and run away. Story ends abruptly - incomplete. Madness! Note: paper records name this cartoon as “Cobb“. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
