Jazzart Dance Theatre - Nexus’ Exurgent

‘Exurgent’ is defined as someone/ something arising or coming to light. You can only truly understand what it means to stand in the light once you have experienced absolute darkness. This has been the inspiration for the process that the dancers have worked through. This piece is testimony to the idea that every human being experience light and shade; it is how we respond to this rollercoaster that is important. We can choose to believe that the light still exists even when the darkness feels overwhelming.
