Candina (US) — Apparitions — 2022 full length

The second album from this project. A solid black metal record, pretty much still pushing towards the depressive side. This project keeps maturing specially in terms of songwriting as all the quality ingredients were already here. These elements are just so right, giving a natural fluidity through the songs. The vocals are done on the depressive tone but not overdone and the drumming nearing harsher black metal approaches but too excessive to not lose focus of this melancholic atmosphere. At first glance this livelihood with depressive tones wouldn’t work, but it actually does. The beautiful guitar work and the vocals, high pitched screeching and still very well singed, are perfectly intertwined with the percussion bringing single handedly some aggression to the table.
