Sweden’s surge in crime is ‘self-inflicted’: Rita Panahi

Sky News host Rita Panahi says Sweden’s surge in crime is “self-inflicted” since the country’s expansion of immigration in 2015. “Sweden has gone from one of the lowest crime rates really anywhere, to now having significant problems in certain areas,” Ms Panahi said. “They had this ideology that we have open borders, anyone’s welcome … that’s all well and good and people have made lives there and really contributed to Swedish society. “But if you’ve got people coming in who are not suited – who do not share your values, who are not interested in assimilation, who are not interested in working or following your laws, you’re going to have what we see now.”
