Shakespeare Lives: Walking Cities, London

London-based poet and performer Kayo Chingonyi guides Vienna-based award-winning author and artist Julya Rabinowich around London in this short film. The writers explore the local history of the city including the sites of the former Elizabethan playhouse The Curtain Theatre in Shoreditch and The Cockpit Theatre near Drury Lane. This is part of our series of 8 short films for the British Council’s Shakespeare Lives programme, celebrating the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death and exploring Shakespeare’s continuing influence on international literature today.
