Elizabethan horseman Jimmy Deller rides from Plymouth to London eating only glucose tablets and drinking water. Various locations. L/S rider Jimmy Deller on horseback travelling down country road. Various shots as the camera goes with him. M/S as he dismounts outside park in Staines and girl hands him glass of water. He drinks the water and takes a glucose tablet out of his bag. He gets on another horse and sets off again. C/U’s horse’s head and legs. M/S as Jimmy eats another tablet. M/S of his leg in stirrup. M/S as he arrives at Kingston and dismounts, people watch as he takes off his Elizabethan costume and replaces it with more modern dress. He gets back on the horse and gallops off.
