August 1716. The Ottoman fleet once again besieges Corfu. Now, they will finally manage to occupy the island. All seems lost on the morning of August eleventh. But then, a strong wind starts blowing, out of nowhere. Huge waves formed by crashing one enemy ship into another, sinking several of them. The Ottomans, terrified, flee disorderly. The Venetian masters of the island are baffled, but the inhabitants know. Saint Spyridon did his miracle.
