S-Log3 vs HLG3 with 8-bit video on a Sony a7iii

In this video I’m exploring the difference between using S-Log3 and HLG3 on the Sony a7iii. Both are very good in capturing a high dynamic range video but what about those 8-bit colours and the autofocus issue that we sometimes experience with S-Log image profiles?
