GUINEA-BISSAU: Visas in Bissau and political rallies // EPS 7.

What do you think about when you hear the name of the country Guinea-Bissau? I have to admit that I didn’t know much about Guinea-Bissau before I visited. But that was about to change: After Gambia we drove into Senegal again and from there took the closest border to Guinea-Bissau. Our first destination: The capital Bissau to get the visa for Cote D’Ivoire that was denied to us in Dakar. On our ride through Guinea-Bissau we realized quickly that it’s one of the most laid back countries we visited so far - and we were invited to join the rallies of the two competing parties for the presidential election in the town Gabú (there was not much a choice to avoid this though, all places that sold food were as well packed with the people taking part in the rallies). Join me for the journey through Guinea-Bissau and get to know this country that is one of the least traveled in the world.
