Inhale Existence - Fleeting (Drum Playthrough)

I had the distinct pleasure of tracking the Inhale Existence record at Jamie King’s spot in North Carolina. It was a great experience to be able to track drums in a room where so many of my favorite records have been created. I filmed the entire tracking process of this record so I have a lot of footage! The song was mainly comped in three takes over three days. You’ll notice the differences with the different clothing :) So yeah this isn’t a LIVE drum playthrough - I merely wanted to catalog tracking at such a memorable space for the progressive metal scene. I’m happy with my parts for this record and the sounds we captured on it. You’ll notice that half way thru we swapped out chinas and a few other cymbals - some of those decisions were musical ones and some of them were cause the previous cymbals broke. I am using my DW kit for the top two toms and kick and we used Jamie’s old 80s Pearl Session? for the low toms. Offbeat Snare on this as well and a collec
