Acapella rendition of ’Araftu al-Hawaa (Om Kalthoum/Riad Al-Sunbati) Poetry by Rabia al-Adawiyya: i came to know love the moment i found Your Love and i have closed my heart from everyone except You and i started whispering to You (the One who Sees the secrets of the hearts) while we don’t see You i have two types of love for You the love of inclination, and a love for You are worthy of thus the love of inclination and remembrance keeps me away from anything but You and truly the love that You are worthy of is when You unveil the Veils for me to see You truly the praise of either case, ya Maula is not mine, ya Maula truly praise in both cases belongs to You and i have two longings for You the longing of the distance, and the longing for the closeness so to be secluded in Your refuge the longing of a distance is creating a stream because the time of Your Departure and the longing of de refuge’s closeness is because the light of my life has been faded in You Light كلمات : رابعة العدوية ألحان : رياض السنباطي عرفت الهوى مذ عرفت هواك وأغلقت قلبي عمن عداك وقمت أناجيك يا من تـــــرى خفايا القلوب ولســــــنا نراك أحبك حبين ... حب الهوى وحـــــــــــباً لأنك أهل لــــــذاك فأما الذي هو حب الهوى فشغلي بذكراك عمن ســـــــواك وأما الـــــــــذي أنت أهل له فكشــفك لي الحجب حتى أراك فلا الحمد في ذا ولا ذاك لي ولكن لك الحمـــــد في ذا وذاك أحبك حبين ... حب الهوى وحـــــــــــباً لأنك أهل لــــــذاك وأشتاق شوقين . شوق النوى وشوقا لقرب الخطى من حماك فأما الذي هو شوق النوى فمســـــرى الدموع لطول نواك وأما اشـــتياقي لقرب الحمى فنار حياة خــــبت في ضياك فلا الحمد في ذا ولا ذاك لي ولكن لك الحمـــــد في ذا وذاك Photo by Petra Richterova
