Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 Visits San Francisco

On February 4th 2007, the 148,000-ton Queen Mary 2 cruise liner stopped for a night in San Francisco on its way to Hawaii. It is the largest vessel ever to enter the Bay and sailed with only 27 feet clearance as it passed under the Golden Gate Bridge. The QM2 was build in France by Chantiers de l’Atlantique in 2003.
