EMD SD70ACe Locomotives on the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad

Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) delivered three SD70ACe demonstrator locomotives to the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad (A&M) in 2013, representing the first AC traction locomotives for the independent, Class III railroad. A&M operates 139 miles from Fort Smith, Ark., to Monett, Mo., and interchanges with BNSF, Union Pacific and Kansas City Southern Class I railroads.
