1964 Pontiac GTO Convertible - Start-up video

The venerable 389 CID V8 was completely rebuilt on December 10, 1991 by Mann Speed Specialty in Independence, MO. Every component of the engine was bought new using the original correct block. It was then upgraded to the tri-power from its original four-barrel carburetor giving it (360 hp). Based on the paperwork in the file, the engine would have accumulated about 48,000 miles since the rebuild. The engine has the correct 1964 389 casting number of 9773155 and is date coded January 23, 1964. The engine and carburetors are completely dialed in and the car cold starts with ease. We have the PHS documentation and the GTO seems all proper (colors and features) and correct except it was born a 4-barrel carburetor car with the upgraded Tri-Power added later and the red line tires are now radials (Coker Classics, date coded 2001 with little use and in excellent condition).
