Reli’s Ghettoblasters: Telefunken CR-8200 vintage boombox (AKA of the Universum Super Sound 16000).

This is a 120 volt boombox made in Japan and sold in North America. A 220 volt version was sold in Europe, called the Universum CTR-2605 or Super Sound 16000. It sounds great! It won a comparison test by Stiftung Warentest, a German audio magazine. Believe it or not, I think it sounds better than a JVC M70 in an indoor low-volume environment, because it has deep warm bass and an outstanding Stereo Wide setting. Also the tweeters are sharp and precise. Now I admit, the M70 will win in an outdoor shootout.
