Stahlwerk Hoesch Phoenix Dortmund Hörde Thyssen Krupp Steel Works 1/2

Part 1 of 2. Steel production in Dortmund-Hörde started in 1841 and ended in 2001. The facilities were sold to China, the buildings were torn down. This video is obviously a commercial spot in order to find a prospective buyer for all the facilities described here, dated around 1999/2000. After tearing down the remaining buildings the “Phoenix-See“, an artificial lake, is built on the area and will be finished in 2011.
