Tribute 80th birthday | Dr. Ilija Jorga

It is an honour to be part of the Celebrations of 80th Birthday of Sensei Dr. Prof. Ilija Jorga and creation of 40 years of Fudokan. A medical doctor and Professor of Medicine at University of Belgrade School of Medicine, Sensei Ilija Jorga turns 80 today. He has over 300 scientific research papers on Karate and is the largest creator of scientific documents on Karate together with his brother, legendary Sensei Prof. Dr. Vladimir Jorga. A protege of Sensei T Murakami, Sensei Taiji Kase and Sensei Hidetaka Nishiyama, Sensei Ilija Jorga had single-handedly built Traditional Karate in Europe at a time when everyone had left Nishiyama Sensei. As he always stood by left side of Nishiyama Sensei while Vladimir Jorga Sensei was on the right sight, Sensei Ilija later came to be known as HIGASHIYAMA sensei in Japanese.
