Freight forwarders warn: it’s a matter of survival
The planned doubling of the truck toll is causing trouble in the transport industry. Small and medium-sized companies could be destroyed, at least that is what Jörg Mosolf, CEO of the automotive logistics company Mosolf from Kirchheim unter Teck, says.

“We as a big company will survive it,“ explains Mosolf, whose company employs about 3,500 people at 38 locations and uses about 1,000 of its own trucks in Europe. “But we can’t have any interest in small and medium-sized businesses being ruined,“ he stresses.
The toll increase is scheduled for 1 December. So there is still time to change something. Jörg Mosolf made a start and invited - organised by trans aktuell and - the members of parliament of his constituency Nürtingen to Kirchheim for an exchange: Renata Alt (FDP), Matthias Gastel (Greens) and Dr. Nils Schmidt (SPD). CDU man Michael Hennrich had switched to business a few weeks ago, which is why the Christian Democrats were not present. The Managing Director of the Association of Forwarding and Logistics Baden-Württemberg (VSL), Andrea Marongiu, was also present.
