Johann Friedrich Fasch (1688-1758), a virtually forgotten and under-appreciated late German Baroque composer living in the shadows of the other greats. He held the post as Kappellmeister at Zerbst, where he spent the rest of his life. Never to have published any of his works during his lifetime, his fame and reputation was achieved by trading music with other prominent musicians at other German courts.
