A Sufi-ritual in Egypt

In a village in the Nile delta the ’Rifahi’ Sufis perform their ritual to celebrate the birthday of the Profet (Muhammed). In a number of stages they dance themselves into trance in order to connect with God. The whole ritual takes two and a half hours.
