Hotel Acapulco lies in the middle of nowhere. We accompany the first-person narrator during his stay in an almost empty building, where the porter is asleep and there’s a dog for each room. The only bright spot in this desert is the waitress, Laura. But his awkward attempt to get close to her fails miserably.
