Saffire Shooter - Dolphin [GameCube] Early Tech Demo [R SIX]
Saffire First-person Shooter Exposed
We’ve got the first movie of this next-generation shooter and it’s literally going to blow you away!
March 23, 2000
Late last year IGN64 reported that talented Nintendo 64 developer Saffire was underway with a next-generation first-person shooter. At the time, very little details about the game were made available, other than the fact that it was set in a high-tech environment.
Today we’ve uncovered a whole slew of new mouthwatering details about the first-person shooter, including never-before-seen movie footage and screenshots of it all running in action. Bear in mind that what you are about to see -- and you absolutely must download it -- is what Saffire is calling “simulated gameplay footage.“ While it’s not running on actual next-generation hardware, it’s a demo that was presented to a major publisher and it’s what Saffire hopes to realize with the final product.
The game, which is being backed by Redstorm Entertainment, features an amazing subway battle scene equipped with brutal gunfights, precision teamwork terrorist take-outs, and a whole lot of brilliant gadgetry. It all reminds us of another first-person shooter published by Redstorm Entertainment.
Unfortunately, in order to obtain this exclusive first-look, IGN64 has to abide by two rules -- first, we can’t speak about what possible license this might be (though the video really says it all), and second, we can’t talk about what next-generation system it might be coming to. Be that as it may, we’re very excited about this game and absolutely insist that you download the images and video so that you can share in our enthusiasm.
