Sashiko Beginners Workshop Threading the Needle Stephen Rowley

Sashiko threads are often thick and unruly. This can make it difficulty to feed then end through the eye of the sashiko needle. I think is was about 6 years old when my grandmother taught me this technique. She was a hat maker in Luton. The kind of person who always wore a brooch that had a needle and thread tucked in the back of it. Anyone needed a quick repair, or a button come off, she ready to go.
