(Cancelled LAIKA movie) The Wall And The Wing Animation Supercut [READ DESCRIPTION!]

(PLEASE READ!!!) I am not associated with LAIKA studios or any personnel involved in the creation of this video. My only mission is to ease the access of more obscure informative videos, such as this one, to the general public. INFORMATION: Compared to Jack and Ben, “The Wall And The Wing“ is almost twice as obscure, both in terms of public knowledge and available information. The earliest known mention of this movie was all the way back in 2005, before Laura Ruby’s novel of the same name was even published. Henry Selick (Coraline, The Nightmare Before Christmas) Was set to direct the film. From what more I could gather, The film was in the pre-production stage around the mid-late 2000s, alongside Coraline, Jack and Ben, ParaNorman (Untitled back then) and The Boxtrolls (Formerly titled “Here Be Monsters!“ after the novel it’s based on.) What you see are merely animation/proof-of-concept tests of a rough(?) character model of the protagonist, aptly named “Gurl“ turning invisible like she does in the book. The dates of which these animations were produced are unknown and it is not known exactly when the production got cancelled. We do however, have these pieces of concept art for the secondary protagonist, “Bug“ IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: While this movie was cancelled around 2008 and will never be released, all the footage in this video was gathered from sources already publicly available on the internet.
