and Welcome to a Traditional Fish Curry and Solkadhi (बांगड्याची उडीद मेथी, सोलकढी ) Episode of @RedSoilStories
In this Episode we are going to see a traditional fish curry recipe called “Udid methi“ also a unique version of solkadhi which is “fodnichi solkadhi“
all of these includes a key ingredient called “triphal“ or “tirphal“ ( Indian Sichuan Pepper ) which is a common spice used in fish curries in southern part of Kokan region of Maharashtra.
Pooja has gone to collect some “Sichuan Pepper“ ( Tirphal ) from the jungle that day early in the morning. She collected some of them and returned home. She cleaned them sorted them and kept for drying for a week.
After 6-7 days the pepper is dried and can be used as a spice.
That day she decided to prepare “ Bangda Fish curry“ ( Mackerel Fish Curry ) and Fodnichi Solkadhi with Sichuan Pepper ( Indian ).
She also fried the mackerel fish ( Bangda fish fry ).
I had gone to the farm and returned home for the lunch.
We had the fish thali lunch together.
