Litanei by Carl Orff

“Litanei“, 1st movement of Orff’s very obscure 1st Cantata based on texts by Franz Werfel from 1930. Written for mixed choir, pianos, and percussion, it is similar in vein to “O Fortuna“ from Carmina Burana. In my opinion, it’s one of his most effective pieces. Please, if anyone speaks German, a translation would be AMAZING!!
