Goodwood 78th Members’ Meeting - Ronnie Hoare Trophy (full race onboard) - Josh Barnett | 1963 MGB

Onboard my 1963 MGB in the Ronnie Hoare Trophy (a race for GT cars of a type that raced internationally from 1960-1966) at Goodwood’s 78th Members’ Meeting. Having started as first MGB in 11th overall, I made a lightning start to run as high as eighth (amongst the Porsche 904s) before the MG’s lack of straight-line pace dropped me back into the pack, leading to a race-long battle with the other MGBs of Matt Walton and Ed Foster. After a crowd-pleasing tussle with Ed, I eventually finished back in 11th (and second MGB home).
