Former Ikeda Family Garden - Akita - 旧池田氏庭園

The former Ikeda Family Garden is a Japanese style garden located in a rural area of Daisen City in Akita prefecture. The garden was arranged by the Ikeda family who was one of the major landowners in the Tohoku region during the Edo period. The Ikeda family are descendants of the Seiwa clan. In 2004 this pretty garden was designated as a National Site of Scenic Beauty. The garden is at its best during autumn.
