Mapping landslide susceptibility over diverse regions with limited data

Creating accurate landslide susceptibility maps that cover diverse terrains with limited landslide position data is difficult. Some of the many challenges include how to create a susceptibility model that is accurate across multiple spatial scales and how to manage areas with no current landslide position data. However, to date, the most common methods used to manage these issues have not been thoroughly evaluated. In this talk, I will assess some of the common methods of creating susceptibility maps over diverse terrains and illustrate some tools that can improve susceptibility assessments.
