LVMPD: Recent shooting appears to be ’suicide by cop’

An officer-involved shooting that took place on Oct. 10 has been characterized as a “suicide by cop,“ according to LVMPD. The shooting took place around 7:31 p.m. near Rainbow Boulevard and Gary Avenue. According to LVMPD, traffic Officer Kenneth Pillette and Officer Chad Betts arrived at a three-car collision, where two of the drivers believed the at-fault driver, later identified as 21-year-old Kenneth Busse, was possibly impaired.
