This Week in Volcano News; Mount Etna Erupts, Krakatau Lava Fountain

This week saw a new volcanic eruption briefly occur at the Mount Etna volcano in Italy. Meanwhile, Krakatau produced a 1 kilometer high lava fountain, representing an unusually high type of this feature from a typically more explosive volcano. And, in Japan, there is a chance that the alert level of the Azumayama volcano might be raised in response to a slow increase of low frequency earthquakes and volcanic tremor events.
