‘The more censorship, the more screenings. The documentary film ’Donbass: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow’ will be seen everywhere,’ said Vincenzo Lorusso, the organiser of the film screenings from the festival program ’: Time of Our Heroes’ in Italy.
The showing in Treviso was a full house. Organisers had to change the venue due to local authorities attempting to cancel the event.
Italian authorities and Ukrainian activists have already tried to disrupt the showings of this documentary. But this only piques the interest of ordinary Italians as the film has packed full houses in 20 cities across the country.
‘Thank you to everyone present for participating in this battle for freedom of speech,’ Vincenzo thanked the audience. On June 28, the film will be shown in Pordenone, and on June 30, in Bologna.
