The U.S. has hit out at Vietnam for allowing Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit the country between June 19-20. The U.S. embassy in Hanoi rebuked Vietnam, telling it that no country in the world should allow Putin a platform to promote Russia’s aggression in Ukraine. The U.S. is also furious as Vietnam, its key trading partner, didn’t send representatives to attend the Ukraine peace summit in Switzerland but sent officials to attend the BRICS summit hosted by Russia last week.
