Rudolph Valentino 1921 Tango

Rudolph Valentino (one of the first Hollywood stars) dancing tango here in the silent film of 1921, THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE. It is the first video filmed of anybody dancing tango (the tango was born in Buenos Aires around 1890). This scene is one of the most famous moments in the history of silent movies. Beatrice Domínguez (born in 1896 in California of Spanish parents) was the actress who dances here. In 1921, at the age of 24, and before the film was completed, Beatrice died from a ruptured appendix.
