Qarabağımsan (Land of the Nightingales) | Teaser

Internationally acclaimed composer Sami Yusuf’s forthcoming release, ‘Qarabağımsan (Land of the Nightingales)’, an emotional tribute of love and longing for the majestic beauty of Karabakh. Symphonic in scope, the music moves seamlessly through highly expressive Azerbaijani modes before its anthemic outro in a classical Western scale. The composer is joined by master musicians from Azerbaijan in this piece that includes stunning vocal solos as well as solos on tar and balaban. ‘Qarabağımsan (Land of the Nightingales)’ will be released in its entirety early in 2022.
