Simmons SD1200 - Review And Playing Examples

I like the sizes, they are identical to the Alesis Crimson. The sounds are better than the Crimson, but not on par with Roland or Yamaha. At the same time, the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired, the kick drum and ride aren’t my favorite, and it doesn’t play as smooth as some of the more established brands. This kit is best for those that just want a large mesh kit to use with Drum software. The extended version also looks interested. It gives you an extra crash and a 4th tom for $100.
